|Mac OS X has a security feature that prevents other applications from getting into the memory space of an application "owned" by a user other than the one that's currently logged into the computer. Print Center, NetInfo Manager, and Dantz Retrospect all run under the "root" user and therefore Haxies cannot affect them. If there is another application that Haxies seem not to affect, check the owner of the application by entering the following into the terminal (sigh) (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal):
and pressing the enter key on the keyboard. This command shows the owner of all Applications/Processes running on the machine. Find the application that is not being affected and check the username on the left side of the listing. If it's not your short user name, then it's not being patched because of the above mentioned security feature. If it is your short user name, email email@example.com with the name and the location (if possible) of where to get it.
Microsoft products typically do not use the standard Mac programming calls and therefore are either very difficult to patch or impossible to patch. This especially affects Windows Media Player (WiMP) and WindowShade. WiMP draws it's own windows and therefore WindowShade X cannot affect it.
